Reiki is a form of energy healing that works with the body's chakra centers and promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Rei=universal life Ki=energy
Everyone has the ability to connect with their own healing energy. This energy should be strong and free flowing. When the energy becomes weak or blocked, it can lead to symptoms of physical, mental/emotional imbalances, or dysfunction.
Reiki works on the mind, body and emotions. It can help the body create an environment to balance itself on a very deep level.
Even if you are in good health, regular Reiki treatments can help your ability to respond to stress and serve as a form of preventive medicine.
Reiki benefits may include:
*Intense relaxation
*Promote tissue and bone healing after surgery or injury
*Stimulate immune system
*Promote natural self-healing
*Relieves pain and tension
*Improved sleep
According to Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic, Reiki can assist patients with:
*Cancer--provides relief from fatigue, stress and side effects
*Psychological distress- Anxiety and depression
*Chronic pain
*Digestive issues
*Infertility
*Stress-related illnesses
A chakra is an energy center within our body that have their own vibrational energy. There are 7 main chakras within the body located along the spine from the crown of the head to the pelvis. Each chakra corresponds to specific areas of the body such as nerves, organs and our energy field. To function at your best, the chakras need to stay open or balanced. If any of the energy centers become blocked, it may result in physical or emotional symptoms.
The entire appointment typically lasts 1.5 hours which includes the Reiki therapy session (45-60 minutes), and discussion before and after.
Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) is low-frequency sound waves in the range of 30Hz-120Hz, converted into vibrations via low frequency bass transducers (or speakers) that are embedded in various furniture such as mats, chairs, beds, lounges, recliners, etc. The process generates a whole inner body vibratory massage focused primarily on the muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems, thus affecting organs, tissues and cells.
VAT is based on the principle that all matter, including the human body, vibrates all the time, at various frequencies. Different parts of the body vibrate at different energy frequencies. When the frequency from a sound outside the body interacts with the body’s frequency, changes occur. This is independent of whether a person hears or experiences it on a conscious level.
Our bodies are comprised of 60-70% water, located both inside and outside of cells. When the human body is exposed to sound vibrations, the water moves which makes the molecules react and communicate with each other. When this communication occurs, harmony and healthy energy resonance are restored within the body.
There are now more than 40 years of research and development of vibroacoustic therapy, and the treatment is being used in hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, addiction centers, nursing homes, health clubs, alternative and complementary clinics and private therapy studios in the USA, Finland, England, Germany, Norway, Estonia, Denmark, Russia, Japan, Ecuador, Mexico, China, and Canada.
Vibroacoustic Therapy is an amazing treatment for many conditions as well as injuries. I will only list a few as the list is very long.
Neck, shoulder, and back pain
Digestive issues-constipation, colic
Arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis
Parkinson’s disease
Alzheimer’s disease, dementia
Insomnia
Stress, depression
Fibromyalgia
Autism
Menstrual pains or pre-menstrual tension
Blood pressure or circulatory problems
Improved healing in post-op conditions…hip and knee replacements
Your body has over 1000 receptors associated with the sense of smell. The aroma, made up of plant chemical compounds, of the essential oil creates a direct link with different parts of the brain, such as the limbic system and the hypothalamus. The limbic system's function is to process and regulate memory and emotion. The hypothalamus influences the pituitary gland which secretes hormones to help regulate blood pressure, hunger, thyroid function, sleep cycles, and memory. By smelling the aroma of the essential oils, it elicits benefits both physically and emotionally.
Along with the emotional component, gentle touch can also influence physiological responses in ways other communication methods can't. Tender touch provides stress-relieving effects for the body, triggering the release of oxytocin, known as the love or hug hormone. By combining smell and touch, this AromaTouch technique is very powerful. No matter what you're going through, whether it's emotional or physical challenges, or both, this technique helps address all the systemic constants (chronic stressors) to break the cycle of unrest and bring you back to a state of resiliency.
Turning forks are a gentle, yet very effective sound healing modality to help treat the mind, body, and soul. The forks are 2-pronged metal bars, that when activated, vibrate and produce a specific frequency sound wave. That specific frequency potentially influences a physiological response in the body. Sound travels through water 5 times faster than through air, and since our bodies are made up of 70% water, it is an amazing conductor for sound.
There are 2 varieties of tuning forks: weighted and unweighted. Both types have a wide range of sound frequency options that are used for healing by assisting the shift of stuck or stagnant energies. The type of fork to use depends on the intended use as the weighted are used more for physical issues, and non-weighted are typically used for energy field and chakra imbalances.
Weighted tuning forks: These forks are intended to be used on the body. They have weights attached to the end of each prong, which lowers the frequency. The weight causes the fork to vibrate slower, resulting in longer sound wavelength, and making the vibrations felt deeper in the body. The weighted forks are great for relaxing muscles and helping alleviate inflammation and pain by stimulating blood flow, improving the energy flow, and activating the body’s natural healing process.
Unweighted tuning forks: These forks are usually not used directly on the body but close to the ears or in our energy (biofield) field. They produce a pure sound that is known for their effectiveness in promoting relaxation and emotional shifts, lowering stress, decreasing physical pain, and helping clear and balance the body’s energy field.
During a tuning fork therapy session, the sound waves travel into the body, creating a gentle massage at a cellular level and triggering a healing response. On an energetic level, the waves travel along the energy paths and help to release emotional blocks, balance the nervous system, feel calmer, more relaxed and grounded.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, Thought Field Therapy) is a mind/body technique where a person taps on specific acupressure points on the hands, face and body. This method is used to help reduce negative emotions, stress, anxiety, and possibly diminish cravings by helping restore balance to the body's energy flow.
